“I am writing in support of your Maximum Program, which my husband and lead pastor Billy Meacham and I joined in April 2022. Billy and I were new to the ministry, having been assigned to the ministry and to Anacortes WA in October 2016. We were charged with re-opening a church in Anacortes and have finished all the construction and repairs. But we were floundering as to how to build a congregation. We had participated in community outreach in multiple ways with very little congregation growth. Our first meeting with you and Wanda left us with hope and possibilities. By meeting with us, Zoom meetings, and multiple texts, you have greatly assisted us to redefine our vision and mission, identify things we were doing that could hinder the growth of a congregation, and helping us re-define our spiritual gifting. I think it was when you said “pastors get frustrated because they spend 80% of their time in 20% of their gifting” that I began to see a better way to minister and remain vital in the ministry. Our congregation is in full support of this assistance. After a few false starts, and assuring the value of each person (thanks to your coaching) we have each person sharing in their area of gifting and getting ready for our October event, “Harvest Festival at Harvest Center.” We are going to offer activities such as “pass the pig” (kind of like musical chairs) and marshmallow races. You have greatly assisted us in helping to get the congregation on board with small changes over a period of time, rather than large changes they could object to!
